ENTEROTOMOGRAFIA NA AVALIAÇÃO DA DOENÇA DE CROHN

O

O trato gastrointestinal (TGI) pode ser afetado por diversas condições patológicas que podem impactar a saúde e o bem-estar, dentre elas as doenças intestinais inflamatórias (DII). Este grupo é representado principalmente pela doença de Crohn (DC), uma síndrome intestinal inflamatória crônica grave e que não tem cura, sendo o diagnóstico precoce fundamental para estabelecer um tratamento que mantenha a remissão da doença e melhore a qualidade de vida do paciente. A enterotomografia (ETC) tem o objetivo de avaliar especificamente o TGI sendo o método de imagem mais eficaz e utilizado no diagnóstico desta condição. Dessa forma, este trabalho tem como objetivo relacionar, por meio da revisão de literatura, a importância da ETC na avaliação e diagnóstico da DC. O exame de ETC, quando realizado corretamente, fornece informações importantes do acometimento parietal, do mesentério e da gordura parentérica, baseando-se na localização da lesão, o padrão e a captação parietal do contraste venoso e grau do espessamento. O diagnóstico precoce é fundamental e ajuda a estabelecer um tratamento que melhore a qualidade de vida do paciente. Além disso, é um método eficaz, de baixo custo e com boa aceitação e tolerância pelos pacientes.

ENTEROTOMOGRAPHY IN THE EVALUATION OF CROHN'S DISEASE

ABSTRACT 

The gastrointestinal tract (GIT) can be affected by several pathological conditions that can impact health and well-being, including inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). This group is mainly represented by Crohn's disease (CD), a severe chronic inflammatory intestinal syndrome that has no cure, with early diagnosis being essential to establish a treatment that maintains remission of the disease and improves the patient's quality of life. Enterotomography (ETC) aims to specifically evaluate the GIT, being the most effective imaging method used in the diagnosis of this condition. Therefore, this work aims to relate, through a literature review, the importance of CTE in the evaluation and diagnosis of CD. The CTE exam, when performed correctly, provides important information on parietal involvement, mesentery and parenteral fat, based on the location of the lesion, the pattern and parietal uptake of venous contrast and the degree of thickening. Early diagnosis is essential and helps to establish treatment that improves the patient's quality of life. Furthermore, it is an effective, low-cost method with good acceptance and tolerance by patients.
